"Seventeen," she replied, almost instantly, before Aro's guess of her real age popped into her head. "One-hundred-and-ninety." she corrected, staring at her feet. "I am 190 years old." Sophie said finally, not daring meet Scribo's eyes. She wanted to rip the branch off the tree to relieve her stress. If she had a heart, it would be pounding.

Scribo nodded, "Wow, dang, I was 10 years off, I guessed 200," He joked. He swayed back and forth on his feet, thinking about that, "So....who was this mentor you were talking about." The girl looked seriously stressed out, so Scribo was trying to change the subject.

"My mentor was Aro, and his coven, called the Volturi, in Volterra. I trained with them for several years before coming to America a few years ago. Before that I was a nomad, as I am now." she said, almost smiling. Thinking of the days in Volterra made her feel more comfortable. Sophia loved those days. Training alongside some of the most brilliant vampires of all time and with powerful ones such as Jane and Alec, though she never spoke to her. The sun being able to be seen through a window. The affectionate nickname she had been given, Bambino di Angelo.

Scribo listened carefully. "Hmm, another question, sorry, are all vampires eyes red?" He asked. Though she seemed to be reminiscing, Scribo was still curious. He only knew about vampires because of a friend of a friend of an uncle. So meeting one was a whole different story.

"Not all. There is a coven here. They have golden eyes. They feed on animals. I try it myself. It is why I was chasing the mountain lion. But the ones who feed on humans, their eyes are red as the blond they drink." she replied, taking one step closer to him. What was this special kind of human called? The kinds you could smell something else on, something she'd heard been called 'magic'.

At the mention of drinking blood, Scribo tensed slightly. Not enough for him to notice. Her eyes were red, "Does that mean you drink human blood?" Scribo asked, succeeding at keeping any fear from entering his voice.

"Sometimes," Sophia replied softly again. She could hear his heart beating faster. "I was trying to kill the mountain lion, not you, remember?" she chuckled, trying to lighten the mood pathetically. Yeah, wasn't was funny as she intended. "So, are you going to say it?"

Scribo laughed at Sophia's attempt to lightened the mood. Scribo looked confused for a moment, "Say what?" then he remembered, "Oh! Right, you are a-" He paused, "Vampire?"

Sophia grinned. "Thank you. I was wondering if you were ever going to say it. You're quite odd for a human. You didn't scream and run like others do." she remarked, circling him. "You are correct, by the way. You're also very lucky that I didn't get impatient. I have a tendency to do that." Sophie scoffed at herself before stopping in her tracks. What was she doing? She was talking with a human! Telling him everything about her and her kind...if he blabbed...her head would be torn off, that and the rest of her torn apart and thrown into a fire before damage control started. "I must go." she whispered quickly, springing into a run, back into the woods. Her bare feet once again pounding against the cold earth.

Scribo wasn't the least bit scared of the godly figure circling him. In fact, he was almost in awe of her. When she said how he didn't run, he laughed, "What good would it have done me if I had. He smiled at her. Then Scribo noticed her stop. He raised an eyebrow, wondering what she was thinking about. For a moment he was afraid, thinking that maybe she had changed her mind and was going to kill him. But, if she had done that, he would already be dead, he figured. Then she said she must go and bolted back into the forest. "Hey, wait!" Scribo called after her, starting to run to catch up with her. He leaped into the air and when he landed was the wolf again. It wasn't long before he lost her in the dense trees and thick foliage. "Sophia?" He called. He had just spoken to a creature that wasn't supposed to exist and it ran away from him. Great. He kicked a rock and tripped. Laying on his back, he stared up at the stars.

Sophia kept running, despite Scribo's first call. Save myself, save him. The less he knows the safer he is. She convinced herself. How in the world was she going to deal with what she'd done? Certainly she wouldn't forget him, not after his scent had caught her. It still made her throat burn when she thought about it. With time, yes, with time she would forget about what had happened, hopefully. "Sophia?" The voice made her stop short and turn around, facing the direction of the voice, far away from her, separated by endless trees. Sophie sighed despairingly, letting her shoulders slump. That time she was finding it difficult to restrain herself from going back. A small peak couldn't hurt, could it? The vampire leapt up into the tree branches and made her way to a place where she could look at him without him seeing her on first glance. "Don't worry," she whispered, giving a small smile. "I'm still here," What was it about that human that was so interesting?

Scribo stayed on his back for a few minutes. Being a wolf animagous, his hearing was slightly enhanced. Not like a vampires hearing or anything, but enough that he could hear the faint whispering that gave away where Sophia was. Still laying on his back, he craned his neck so he was facing her upside-down, "Hello." He grinned. He rolled back onto his feet and turned around to face her. "Why did you run away like that?"

[/i] she mentally remarked, tilting her head and letting the smallest of smiles play on her lips. She froze in place when he spoke to her, she didn't dare blink, breathe, or even fidget. How in the world had he located her? She stretched up slowly from her crouch so that her arms rested on the branch at her chest's level, one arm vertical so she could rest her head in her hand. "I...I ran away because I felt like I was telling too much. I felt...like I was putting you in danger." she said softly, hoping he would hear. "I'm not usually the vampire who drinks animal blood, you know." Sophia remarked, recalling the fire that raced down her throat upon smelling the blood of a human. "I thought it would be best if I left you alone. Let you make your own assumptions. Make sure you're safe."[/ul]

"Putting me in danger?" Scribo couldn't help but laugh. As if he didn't do that for himself enough. "I really don't think you have to worry about that." Scribo, noticing that she seemed to be the most tense when he moved, kept perfectly still. "Make sure I'm safe? Why would you care about that," Scribo smirked. "I mean, I'm sure you could kill me and no one would know."

"You don't know what we're capable of!" Sophie exclaimed worriedly, watching his actions carefully, waiting for him to scream, run away, call her a monster, anything. "Yes, I could kill you. As can many others, much quicker than I ever could!" she groaned, dropping from her branch backwards and landing on a layer of ice that used to be leaves. It crunched loudly under her when she did it. "Its...its just your blood, I'm pretty much sure. I can't think about it being spilled or I feel like I'm going to..." she stopped herself, the feeling like she was swallowing magma engulfing her throat again. Curse this intolerable blood lust! Why can't I control it?
