Miyoko wandered aimlessly through the trees, weaving in and out of them. She didn't really have a reason to be here in particular, she just liked being away from the hubbub of civilized life. Anyways, there were no standards for her here. No D's or F's or people laughing at her because she couldn't construct a sentence in English that sounded halfway decent. She sat down on a large root right next to the trunk of the enormous tree. Leaning her head back on it, she started to hum the Sound of Music. It was one of her favorite musicals, even if she couldn't understand it too well. Letting her humming die out she wriggled into an area of slightly more light. It wasn't anything like the sunlight she was used to, but it was something. It was cloudy, and only some occasional rays of sun got through the thick carpet of clouds. Not long after she laid down, she dozed off.

Lindsey walked around the forest because her cell phone died and she didn't feel like looking for the charger right now. Now as she strolled through the forest she said "I wish I like looked for my like charger because I'm like bored." Then, she came across a girl. A sleeping girl. 'Why would anyone like sleep on the like ground?' she thought to herself. Lindsey went over and poked her gently. "Hey. Why are you like sleeping on like the ground? Isn't it like gross?"

Miyoko jolted to awareness as the girl poked her. She had been having an excellent dream and she didn't appreciate the rude awakening. She heard the girl talking, but she found it difficult to understand her. Miyoko was getting better with her english, but the extra "likes" that the girl put in her sentence were confusing. "What? I cannot understand you," Miyoko said.

Lindsey moved back as the girl awoke. She sighed. She decided that if this girl didn't understand her now, she never would. Lindsey slowed her voice down...a lot, and repeated what she had just said. "Hey. Why are you like sleeping on like the ground? Isn't it like gross?"

Miyoko did her best to discern what the girl was saying and take out the extra "likes". Finally, she got the gist of what she was saying. She smiled and sat up, "I just daydreaming here and I fell asleep. It is nice on ground."

Lindsey gave the girl a strange look. Didn't she know how to talk. Then she saw it. "You're like one of those immigrant people, from like China and Korea." She paused and smiled. "I like love those people. They're like who I'm envious of." Lindsey patted the ground. "I don't see how like anyone would like enjoy laying on like the ground. I'm Lindsey by the way."

Miyoko grimaced. She didn't like people calling her an immigrant. She was, but she still would rather people not have to say it. They could just notice it and not mention in. She sighed and shook her head, regaining her smile, "I am Miyoko." She put extra emphasis on the "am". She forgot to say that part last time she introduced herself to someone. She shrugged when Lindsey said that she didn't see how anyone could like laying on the ground, "It is nice and sometime is calm me down."

Lindsey saw the girl grimace. "Sorry." She said. "It's like nice to meet you Miyoko." Lindsey probably said the name wrong even know she just hear it. "I like absolutely adore like your name. It's like amazing." Lindsey just nodded when Miyoko said the ground was nice. She was done arguing. "You can call me Lindie or Lindz if you want to."

Miyoko nodded in acceptance of the apology. Miyoko still didn't appreciate that Lindsey put so many words that were unnecessary into her dialogue. Mostly because it was hard to understand her for Miyoko. She just nodded and smiled and pretended to know exactly what she was saying. "What you doing out in forest?"

"I was like bored because I like have to charge my like phone, but like I can't find my like charger and like I don't want to look for it." Lindz looked around at the area around the two and stood up to stretch.

Miyoko nodded. She didn't like to look for things. But, then again, why look for them when you're a witch and don't have to. She smiled. Then she looked at Lindsey. She'd never seen her around before. She probably doesn't go to the Academy then, Miyoko thought. Voicing her thoughts, she said, "Where do you go school, I not seen you at mine."

Lindsey looked at Miyoko. "I don't really like remember the name of it, but like it's the local high school. Where do you like go to school?"

"I go to school out of town," Miyoko answered automatically. She couldn't tell someone that she went to the local wizarding school. One, that would make her sound crazy. Two, it was a secret that had to be kept. She smiled. "I have no seen you in town. Are you new?"

Lindsey nodded. "I just like got here like a week ago from like South Beach." Her eyes filled with longingness. "I sure do miss that place."

Miyoko nodded, her eyes far away. She knew what that felt like. Smiling she leaned on the huge trunk of the tree that was over them. It rarely got sunny in Forks, but when it did Miyoko came here. "Where is South Beach?"
