It was the end of the day. Sylvia had just finished up correcting a test that the class took today. Today was Friday. Sylvie sighed. She hated Friday's. It was the day where she got to go back to the empty house and cry. She grabbed her brown sweater and headed into the hallway...tears already filling her eyes.

Teddy sat in his office, leaning back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling, bored out of his mind. He was supposed to be grading his third-year's papers on animaguses, but Teddy's attention span was shot from a full week. He loved teaching- it was his passion- but having five days of teaching a week with classes nearly all day was taking a toll on him. With a sigh, he realized he wasn't going to get anything done here. Quickly, he gathered up all his papers and shoved them recklessly into his bag. Then, he grabbed his jacket and hurried out the door...just in time to crash into one of his female coworkers. "Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry, are you alright?"

Sylvia looked up at her work mate who had bumped into her. "Yeah I'm fine. You?" Here she was, talking to the teacher that almost every single female teacher in the school adored. Except for her. She liked him and all, but she just didn't want to start in the love business ever since Andrew was taken away from her. Sylvia bent down and picked up some of the ungraded papers that had fallen to the floor. "You know, if you give me an answer key, I can help you grade these." She looked into his eyes. 'What the hell am I doing?' she thought. 'Am I falling for him too?'

Quickly, Teddy helped her up. She was one of the few female teachers who hadn't tried to get him to go get drinks after work. Teddy didn't mind...it was actually nice of her. He was still new at teaching, and had to focus on getting his work done, not flirting with his coworkers. He knew Scribo had a completely different outlook in that sense. Oh, well. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine," he said, using a puff of breath to get his hair out of his eyes. Then he noticed tears in her eyes. "Oh, my god, you're not hurt, are you?" He asked, his soft, British-tinged voice filled with concern. He really hoped he hadn't hurt this poor young woman. Ted was so strong and klutzy that he tended to hurt people completely by accident. He felt awful thinking that maybe he had hurt her. When she mentioned answer keys, Teddy went pink. "No, that's okay. I've got to get used to the work load. It doesn't get any easier." He looked into her eyes, and nearly got lost in them. "Um...I'm Teddy Lupin," he said hurriedly, trying to cover his embarrassment. He took the papers from her, shoving them back in his bag, just as unorganized as before.

Sylvia melted as Teddy's words created a cloak that danced around her. He had a British accent; she loved British accents. This was one that would stick with her forever. Sylvia wiped at her eyes, angry at herself for allowing the tears to pool so easily. She shook her head. "No, its okay. I'm fine. Just a little tired that's all. Besides it's F-F-F-Friday." She stuttered on the last word, hating every moment of it. Sylvie hated saying 'Friday'. It slipped off her tongue with anger and despair. She folded and unfolded her hands to get Andrew off of her mind. "Okay...yeah true." She said this regarding the paper correcting. "I'm Sylvia. Sylvia Anderson. It's nice to meet you Teddy." His eyes were the most beautiful eyes she's ever seen. Quickly averting her eyes, to deny that she was indeed falling in love she thought to herself, 'No no no! This isn't real. The only man I could ever love was Andrew. I cannot be falling in love. I just can't.'

((I'm mean he's got the accent....and he's just so darn cute! *dies from love of teddy*)))
Teddy noticed how she stuttered over the word Friday, but decided not to make a huge deal out of it. Maybe she had a speech impediment. Maybe she was nervous about something. Or...maybe the sadness Teddy could see in her eyes had something to do with it. He wanted to comfort her, to tell her it was alright, that he was here, but he couldn't. Whatever was bothering this woman was her personal business. She probably didn't want Teddy butting in. "Sylvia," he repeated. Wow. She was stunning. "A pretty name to match a very pretty face." Teddy immediately went pink. He had just used a pick up line. Oh, god, he felt like a teenager again, nervous and tongue-tied around girls. He saw her pull her eyes away from his. Without really thinking about it, Teddy changed his eyes from bright, crystal blue to his usual emerald green. There was something about her that captivated Teddy, that made him want to talk with her, to get to know her, to be with her. What had gotten into him? He had never really been serious about girls. Now, he walks into one and falls head over heels for her- for Sylvia.

Sylvia turned her attention to Teddy, without looking at him. She blushed and giggled. 'Oh god.' she thought. 'Here I go again...it's true. There's no denying it. I am falling in love.' "Your name matches you perfectly. Teddy. A tall British Teddy bear." Sylvie smiled, the first time she had smiled in a long time. She looked back at Teddy. His eyes were different. Green. Weren't they just blue? She looked into his eyes questioningly, and decided whether or not to say anything. "Teddy? What happened to your eyes?" she asked quietly.

Teddy was going pink. What was going on here? He felt so drawn to this beautiful woman, in a way he never had before. It was incredibly, but he thought he was falling in love. Oh, god, Scribo would get a kick out of that. Scribo had never really believed in love, he thought it was foolish, and had gotten Teddy to believe that as well. Now, here he was, head over heals for this beautiful woman he had just met. He blushed and laughed when she called him a tall British teddy bear. More like Teddy wolf... "Thanks," he said laughing. "I've been called lots of things, but never a teddy bear...I guess I kinda like it." Then she noticed his eyes. Oh. crap, he probably shouldn't have done that. "Oh, I'm a metamorphagus....I can change my appearance at will. Is there something wrong with green? Shall I switch them back?" He asked hastily.

Sylvia laughed along with Teddy. "Good! I'm glad you like being called Teddy bear. I like calling you that." She hoped that Teddy could read between the lines, and that he knew that she did in fact love him, even though she found it strange herself. Then, regarding the fact that Teddy was a metamorphagus, Sylvie said, "Wow! That must be pretty cool!" She stared intently into his green eyes. "No. You don't have to change them back unless you want to. Both are very beautiful."

She liked calling him that. Did that mean she liked him? He felt strangely excited. If she felt the same way he did...Teddy didn't let himself think about that option. It was incredibly far-fetched. She couldn't feel the same way. That was impossible. No one could feel the same way he felt about Sylvia. "Eh, it's pretty fun. It makes Halloween a snap." He smiled brightly. He liked being able to change his appearance. He could flirt with the same girl twice. He just changed to look like someone else, and gave her a phony name. Not that he would ever do that to Sylvia. "Thank you," he said, blushing like crazy. "Um, this might be a little...sudden, but would you like to go get a drink or something with me?"

Sylvia laughed. She thought that Teddy was very good at making people laugh. A good cheerer-upper. "Your welcome." She blushed when he asked her if she wanted to go get a drink. 'Me?' she thought. 'Me!?' Sylvie was amazed at the fact that Teddy asked her to go get a drink. This invitation made her a little giddy. "Sure. I'd like that very much Teddy." Sylvia said this as if she were really dizzy...like she just got off a roller coaster. She took a deep breath to calm herself.

She said yes. Teddy was amazed his jaw didn't drop off his face with shock. His face split into a huge grin. "Really?" He asked. "Um, wow...okay, where would you like to go? There's not much in Forks, but we could go to Port Angeles or Seattle or..." he trailed off, realizing he was babbling. "Sorry," he said blushing again. He noticed Sylvia sounded just as giddy as he did. "Um, well, shall we?" he asked, offering his arm.

Sylvia nodded. She smiled, the first time she was actually happy within the last year. "Don't be sorry." she said. "I don't mind. I could listen to you talk all day." She clamped her mouth shut. "I'm probably sounding like an idiot right now aren't I? Anyways...I really don't care where we go. You pick." She sighed a happy sigh, and linked her arm in his.
