Alice ran through the forest at her supernatural vampire speed, gliding on her feet toward no particular destination. She admired the familiar scenery, the green, lush woods of the pacific northwest, where trees grew taller than buildings and moss was found on virtually every tree trunk.
After a while, she stopped running and sat down against a stump. Though Alice had ran a few dozen miles, she looked no different than if she had just woke up, of course, if she slept. She wasn't tired or out of breath like humans, which was a great advantage.
Though she just needed some time alone, she was soon regretting it and wishing she wasn't alone. Alice wished she had her Jasper here, next to her at least. What was she thinking, going off without Jasper? She couldn't bear to be without him for even a measly ten minutes, but being without her darling husband already started gnawing at her.

Sophia growled angrily as she pounced on a young buck. It wasn't much. But it would satisfy. Ugh, it tasted terrible! Not as good as that man in Russia's. No, his blood was spectacular, so refreshing.
But that was when she was still training and fighting with the Volturi. Curse her intolerance for leaving them! The girl had so much going for her back then: a good position, good mentors, the chance to become feared by other vampires world-wide.
But no. She had wanted 'freedom', the chance to 'shape herself', and 'try to find out what happened to' her family.
An odd scent brought her out of her feeding. Vampire....odd. She didn't know of any others besides the Cullen clan. Her brows pulled together with a hiss. Cullen.

Alice stiffened as one of her visions began to form in her mind. It showed her the same forest she was in, only one being she had never seen before was there, the center of this vision. She didn't notice much about this being, until she saw it's actions. She got a view of her eyes and gasped out loud.
They were red, not the topaz Alice was used to with her family. A different vampire, a human blood-drinker. Another vampire she didn't know of in the woods of Forks. Alice leaped to her feet and ran off in the direction her visions were showing her, though kept attentively tuned into her movements.

Sophia's head snapped up from the buck with no delay, her ears catching the sounds of the vampire running through the forest. Agitated, she kicked the lifeless body of the animal aside, watching it bounce slightly when it hit the ground. Taking one of the leaves off the nearest tree airily, the nomad channeled her energy down her arm and into the leaf held between her thumb and forefinger. The plant life froze solid in an instant. Very satisfying. "Very well done," she cooed to herself, trying to distract herself from thoughts of the approaching Cullen and the human she had met very near to this spot. He had been very odd...perhaps that was because he was drunk. Sophia shook her head, clearing her mind once more. Ridiculous. A human. An odd, drunken, human...

Alice now had reached the final area of the forest where her visions had last shown her this other vampire. She looked around, the scent strong in front of her but her eyes not revealing the exact location of the vampire.
To tell you the truth, Alice was slightly afraid. There hadn't been other vampires in this woods, unknown by the Cullens, since James, Victoria, and Laurent, and of course that turned out so nicely. But she wished she had Jazz here with her at least, to help but still protect her with his life. Her ears detected breathing, relaxed, slow breathing, impossible to be attempted by a human without eventually suffocating. She spun around, and behind her was the vampire she had been hunting down.

It was closer. The Cullen vampire. Sophie leaped into the air with ease and landed gracefully on one of the higher-up branches. As the small vampire arrived, her right eyebrow shot up. That was it? That was the Cillen she'd been fussing about coming near. Well, that was making a mountain out of a molehill. She didn't seem like much of a threat. But, nevertheless, she leapt down from her perch, landing behind the woman before she spun around. "Boo." she teased, tilting her head to the side at the Cullen vampire. The eye-color was just as she had heard...as she had seen when she had tried being a veggie. Interesting.

Alice jumped, surprised out of her wits. Come on, where was Jasper when you needed him? She wasn't exactly afraid of the vampire, she had too much experience in this sort of thing that just another vampire would scare her. But without her husband here, she was only half of what she normally was.
Alice gave herself some distance from the other vampire who now, she noticed, was a female, looking like she had been feeding, yet didn't get much strength from it. Alice hissed quietly from ten feet away, a warning to this vampire.
"Leave," she commanded through clenched teeth. "We have claimed these hunting grounds."

"Claimed--Oh dear...this is an awkward situation, indeed. I had no idea that you had claimed this land. I thought it was acceptable to do a small bit of hunting before I went on my way up to Port Angeles." Sophie feigned shock and disappointment well, but this, this statement had trances of her anger with the female. Claimed? How inconvenient! Stupid coven...they've changed everything with vampires...they way they feed, the way the socialize with humans...and even their hybrid. So rare. How could they have claimed so much hunting territory? Sophia thought, enraged. "How odd that one coven could have so much land all to themselves...quite a shock, really. You do not share it with another coven or anything like that?"

Stupid, smart-mouthed, lying...
"Just the perimeter around our residence and the human town and about fifteen miles out. The forested areas."
A spot of hunting before going to Port Angeles? Why doesn't one of those "carnivorous" vampires like her go feed on humans like they normally do?
Alice had nothing else to really say to her but, "We have an abnormally large coven."
It was true, at least. The covens Alice could think of had no more than five vampires, while our grand total came to an astounding nine, if you would count Renesmee as a vampire.

[/i] type." the vampire leapt from the tree, landing several feet from the Cullen female. It could've been worse. She could have ended up with the second-eldest one...Edmund or something...or actually, she would've preferred Carlisle to find her. In the time she had seen him, [from afar, mind you] he seemed more gentle than this female.) Oh, or worst of all, the big one! The two of the stronger males were the ones she feared most. The males that started with 'E's. Their names escaped her at the moment. "I best be on my way. I have a feeling that our next encounter will not be as comforting," Sophia sneered, not really wanting to leave. She wanted answers.[/ul]
