At last, she felt comfortable around humans again. Feeding on the way out of Forks...away from the local coven's hunting grounds...had done her well. She was much more well-mannered than she had been upon meeting with the Cullen girl. The one with the black hair. Well, now she had time to enjoy herself with the scenery of Port Angeles. She airily skipped along, tossing her hair away from her bright red eyes. Yes, there would most likely be a fuss...or there already was one...upon finding the woman's body dead up in a tree...but, oh well. She could run away before the trouble started. But someone would probably catch up with her from something or other, ready to interrogate her on why she had done what she had so close to another coven. Idiotic people. Trying to keep the peace between human and vampire. She was fine with humans...if she didn't have to stop a bullet for them. It wouldn't kill her, obviously. But she didn't like the thought of having to do it.

Jasper had been searching in Port Angeles for the vampire that Alice had described to him. Of course he didn't want to be away from her, but he figured it would be better to not anger the vampire again. He had been searching for only about a half an hour before he spotted the girl who fit Alice's description. He also noticed that her eyes were bright red, meaning she had fed recently. He was behind her in a matter of seconds and sent a wave of calm toward her. He smiled, "Excuse me, but would you have happened to met a short, dark haired vampire in the forests of Forks recently?" As always, he was being polite Jasper.

Sophia whipped around, eyes curious, at the voice behind her. A gold-eyed veggie. One of the Cullen coven, perhaps? She couldn't tell at that moment. Her eyebrows shot up. The short, dark-haired female. The Cullen girl! Not another one! she sighed internally. But oddly, she was rather calm. "Dark-haired vampire? Forest? Thinking on it, yes. I did meet someone of your description. Why so?" she asked innocently and calmly, quite curious what this male was driving at.

Jasper smiled, "She told me that you were hunting on our land. I was wondering if your plan was to come back to Forks when you're done with what you're doing in Port Angeles." Jasper looked at her red eyes. So unlike what he was used to. If she did intend to go back to Forks, he would have to make sure she didn't hunt any of the humans of Forks.

"That I was. I didn't know that the land belonged to anyone," she replied firstly, giving a small nod. "Return to Forks? Oh no, I wouldn't. Not when I'm thirsty. I would hate to cause problems." Sophia added.

Jasper smiled, "Excellent. It's good to know that. If that's the case, then you are welcome on our lands. So long as you don't hunt." Jasper smiled. "I think that we should get along fine."

"I truly promise I won't cause any trouble. I imagine it must have taken quite a while to build the perimeter that you have now. Your hunting grounds are so large. It took me quite a while before I was certain that I was off your land. Almost to this town by the time I had." Sophia added, being as gracious as possible. "Please do tell Carlisle that I meant no harm. And the rest of your coven, if you may. I fell awful to have encroached." that was a mix of truth and lie. She was a little sorry for trying to take something off the Cullens' land...just not a lot.

Jasper smiled in a friendly way. "Of course. I'm sure you meant no harm, but Alice just wanted to be careful. The last time nomads crossed our paths, things didn't turn out so well. And yes, we've taken precautions to make sure our hunting grounds are large enough so vampires won't hunt close to Forks." Jasper could feel that the vampire didn't feel as sorry as she said, but he didn't mention it. He decided to introduce himself, "I'm Jasper Hale."

"Sophia, Sophia Bravado," the nomad introduced herself as well with a small nod. She paused for a long moment, thinking of what to say next, there was so much to say, questions to ask. But she couldn't be too interrogatory right off the bat. "I must say, it's a good thing to get to know more of your coven--family, I've never seen a group so united in my life!" she commented earnestly.

Jasper smiled softly. Yes, they were more united than any other coven he'd ever seen as well. He noticed that she corrected herself when she said coven instead of family. "We've all been through a lot together," Jasper offered. Though he knew that wasn't why they were united. They weren't together because of survival, as other covens were.
