(((Like the title, Tobi?!? ))) Sunny walked slowly down the rainy streets of the little town, letting the rain soak her hair and clothes. Her beads clinked against each other as she moved dreamily from shop window to shop window. Gosh, this town was so much smaller than San Fransisco. There were to high-rises, no bus stations, no crazy traffic to maneuver through, and certainly no long, twisting streets that stretched on forever. It was much smaller, much more intimate here. Well, at least in this tiny town-- Forks, wasn't it?-- she could go out during the day. In San Fran, she had to stay inside all day, usually with Lucas. Now she could venture out when real people roamed the streets. Well, maybe not in this weather. As she wandered, a new smell hit her sharp nose. It wasn't human, certainly not. It was so familiar...then she knew. It was another vampire. A huge grin spread across Sunny's face, and she whirled around, nowlooking for the other vampire walking the streets of this wicked little town.

(((*SQEALS* YESH!))) Jasper had just gotten away from his encounter with the new vampire in the area, Sophia. Seconds before, he had been in Port Angeles, talking to her. He had had his fill of vampires he didn't know for the day. He was ready to go home and be with Alice. Just the thought of that made a smile spread across Jasper's face. The nice thing about being in love with Alice was that she was always happy. Since Jasper feels the emotions around him, it's nicer to feel happiness. He sighed. He had decided to walk at a normal speed through downtown Forks. Soon after he arrived in the city, the smell of another vampire hit him. He groaned internally, another one? But then he felt a wave of happiness. It seemed to be coming from the direction of a blond girl not far from him. Instinctively, he moved closer to her, to feel more of the happiness. Then she turned around with a huge grin plastered on her face. He also noticed that her eyes were crimson. He grimaced, of course it had to be another carnie.

Sunny was thrilled. Yes, another vampire! He was the first vampire she had met since leaving Lucas in northern California. The vampire seemed to grimace slightly at her, but Sun ignored it. She just wanted to at least talk to another vampire, someone who could maybe change her opinion on what she was. She noticed immediately his golden eyes. Strange...but whatever. Skipping towards him, Sunny beamed brightly. She was ecstatic. "Hi," she said, almost bouncing with her energy. "I'm Sunny, it's great to meet you." And without waiting for any response, Sunny threw her arms around him, despite the fact that she only came up to below his shoulder, and hugged him.

Jasper couldn't help it. As soon as she bounced over, filled with energy that rubbed off on him, he smiled. He was surprised when she flung her arms around him, and even more surprised when he hugged her back. "I'm Jasper," He replied, still a little cautious, stepping back a little. He couldn't help that either, he had always been cautious around people he didn't know. However, he wouldn't leave right now by choice, because it was so nice being around someone this happy. The only person he knew like this was Alice. The thought of her brought another smile to his lips.

Sunny was bursting with excitement. "Ohmigod, Jasper, it's so nice to finally meet another...well, you know," she said, getting quiet just for those last few words. Then, the usual volume and energy levels returned. "Are you from around here? I just came from Northern California, and honestly, I like this town much better than the last place I was. It's easier to act normal here-- oh," Jenny said, her face falling just a tad. "I'm babbling, aren't I? I tend to babble a lot, so if I get annoying, feel free to tell me to shut up." She smiled brightly, and was quiet a moment. "Hey, your eyes are gold," she said, surprised. Sunny had never seen that before.

(((you called yourself jenny))) Jasper could barely keep up with her energy. Northern California? She must have always had to stay inside there, no wonder she liked it better here. He laughed slightly, "You're not babbling." She sort of was, but he didn't mind, he rarely kept up his sides of conversations. He was surprised that she was surprised that his eyes were gold. Had she never met another veggie vampire? "Yes, your eyes turn gold if you feed on animals instead of humans, which me and my family think is more humane," Jasper explained.

(((nuts. >.< I was multitasking, and I'm jenny on a different site))) Sunny shook off his denial that she was babbling. "Yes, I am," she insisted with a smile. "Don't worry, I know I am, and I know I should stop, so seriously, I don't care if you tell me." Sunny's eyebrows rose as he told her about how blood correlated to your eye color. "Huh. So you drink animal blood...I know it's probably more humane that way, but honestly, I think humans have more of a sporting chance. And besides, I was a vegan back in the day, so eating animals is just wrong for me. Not that I like killing innocent people any better." Sunny had a rare moment of sadness. She hated what she was, what she had to do to survive. Then something Jasper said registered. "Wait, family? What do you mean family?" She asked.

Jasper shook his head. "Humans are like the animals of the vampire world. They have absolutely no chance against something like us. They have the same chance as a carrot has against a gladiator." Jasper frowned slightly. Maybe he could somehow convince Sunny to hunt animals instead of humans. He was starting to really like her. She was like a little sister Jasper never had. Sure he had Rosalie and Bella, but they were about the same age as him. Sunny couldn't be more than 15 years old. Then, when Sunny asked about the family, Jasper laughed. "I mean family. I have two sisters, a niece, two brothers, a mother, a father, and a wife. None of them are biological, of course. We all found each other after most of us were already changed."

Sunny shrugged, and let teh topic go. She really didn't feel like defending her reasons to Jasper. It wasn't that she didn't have any good back-up, she just didn't want to argue. Her eyes went wide as Jasper told her about his family. She had never heard of a coven so large-- other than the mystical Volturi-- nor any that considered themselves a family. She knew from Lucas that most vampires grouped together for convenience, not love. "And they're all vampires?" She asked. "That's...wow, I didn't know vampires did that. I guess I assumed you couldn't have a family if you were a vampire."

Jasper almost laughed at her surprised expression, "Yes, they're all vampires." Then it was Jasper's turn to be surprised. What could have given her that assumption? "Why would you think that? Anyone can have a family. What does being a vampire have to do with anything?

"Wow," Sunny muttered. Yup, definitely the biggest collection of vampires she knew of who had a permanent residence...other than those in Volterra. Sunny shrugged, slightly ashamed at her silly ideas. "I dunno," she said, "I just thought that you had to leave you human family behind. I never really considered making a new family." Sunny suddenly felt very regretful. She had been alone all this time, and she hadn't needed to be.

Jasper sighed. "Most of us didn't have much family. Except for Bella. Bella still keeps in contact with her father," He smiled. Jasper sensed Sunny's regret. "You know, you don't really need to be alone." Jasper smiled. "Why don't you stop by our house sometime and see what our family is like?"

Sunny's brow furrowed. She assumed Bella was part of Jasper's family...and therefore a vampire. So how did she keep in contact with her father? That sounded dangerous for the father. Well, maybe because they didn't eat humans. When Jasper mentioned Sunny stopping by the house and meeting his family, her eyes lit up and she beamed. "Really? I could do that?"

Jasper laughed. "Of course you can, Sunny!" Dang, she was just too cute. A passing thought popped into his head about her maybe becoming part of the family. It was gone as soon as it had came, but the notion lingered as if it may come up again sometime soon.

Suns smiled sweetly. "Thanks, that's so nice of you," she said, sincerely. This was the first real amount of kindness she had been shown in a long time, and it felt good to have someone who seemed to like her, despite knowing what she was. Well, Jasper probably understood. She noticed all the crescent scars covering his neck, and instinctively raised her hand to her own scar. "So...where do you live?" She asked.
