Choi's friends just sorta stared at Sunny for a second, then went back to their mini conversations. Choi shook his head and pushed her hand down gently, "Sunny, try not to act too...." Choi paused, "Too 'not from our time', kay?" Choi smiled and turned to ask Bobby about something related to a trip they were taking this weekend. Choi wasn't thinking much about what Sunny would do with her food until he saw everyone else chowing down on their own meals. He thought quickly, anddecided the best course of action would be to look like a jerk. "'Scuse me," Choi leaned over, grabbed her sandwich, and took a huge bite out of it, then laying it back on her plate. "Choi!" Someone gave him a disapproving look. Choi smiled at Sunny mockingly, "D'you still want that?" Under his breath, he whispered to Sunny, "Act offended."

If Sun could have blushed, she would have. She kept forgetting that things were so different now. "Sorry," she muttered. "I keep forgetting it's not...y'know, my home era." She tossed her long hari out of her face, and set about observing the rest of the students. She had already sent out a small bit of hypnotism to make everyone not notice her blood red eyes. But everything else about the students seemed so...basic. They all dressed in jeans and t-shirts that all seemed to come from the same place-- Abercrombie, or something like that. It was no doubt an overpriced, exploitive brand built for a specific type of person. Yuck. All the girls had shoulder length straight hair and wore eyeliner and lip gloss. All the guys wore sneakers and had shaggy hair. Except for Choi. She and he were the only two people in the cafeteria who stood out. She liked that. When Choi took a bite of her sandwich, Sunny felt relieved. At least she didn't have to eat it now. Then she realized a normal person would be offended by that. Well, Choi's comment also reminded her. So, adopting a hurt and annoyed look, Sunny cried out, "Choi! That was my lunch. And no, I really don't want that."

Choi laughed. It was a tiny, tiny bit over the top, but everyone went back to their lunches and conversations without expecting Sunny to eat any of her lunch. He smiled, relieved. He leaned over closer to Sunny and said, "Well, you win the coveted award for best Vampire actress of the year." Taking a bite of his own sandwich and putting Sunny's on his own plate (he could use the calories), he shook out his hair. The new gel he was using made it scrunch up if it was too moist out. And of course, in Forks, it was. He would have to go back to the old brand that he used. He sighed, it had been so much more overpriced.
